Whitfield, Knight, Carrack and provender...
These are tough times at the BBC with good husbandry and belt-tightening the order of the day, so who's going to pay for a new roof for the Radio Theatre, since Beverley Knight blew it off last Sunday On "W.W."? The rafters were already ringing after Paul Carrack and the London Community Gospel Choir's mighty bellowing, but "Take Another Little Piece Of My Heart" from the country's most dynamic singer stopped the Regent Street traffic.
Well, yes, okay, thanks to a ridiculous traffic-light system and an even more preposterous bus-lane, Regent Street traffic is at a permanent stand-still, but if you were listening, you know what I mean.....Richard Corrigan of Bentley's sent a hamper full of all that's best in the sea for St Patrick's Day, but I'm sure he didn't mind when I spread his largesse among the starving singers, band, audience and guest. That was June Whitfield, perky, funny, ageless, who tucked lightly into the smoked salmon, while eschewing the proffered oyster. As indeed did most people; what have they got against the bi-valved mollusc? There was even an element of resistance to the Haddock Balls in a lightly curried mayonnaise....And here's something else to stretch the thinking TOGS credibility: I've just been voted Britain's Coolest Irishman! Can this mean that I'm not HOT...?

Now there’s the question if you are cool can you be hot at the same time.
I think ladies of a certain age think you are hot, and the rest of you think you are cool lol
