Welcome to terrywogan.com

So, there you are! Don't worry, I wouldn't start without you. If it comes to that, where would I be without you, your wit, your wisdom, our shared sideways view of the world ?

In the best reality show tradition, let's make a "journey" together, I am looking forward to reading your comments and musings and having the odd word to say myself....

And remember,as the Reverend Mother of the Sisters of Perpetual PMT always says: "It's no sin,as long as you don't enjoy it".....

Aaah “enjoyment”. . . it`s a sticky one that! Well, I am only human and have to fail sometimes.

I shall be listening and enjoying the frolics, music and musings tomorrow – sorry I can`t be there in person tomorrow. So many Valentines, so little time .

Blessings xx

Sister Dipsomania says:

I’ll drink to that!

(It’s OK – I don’t enjoy it.)

Rev Counter says:

Very excited about all this in the Counter houshold. The Lady Deaconess, aka EmmaNemms and I will be sitting in awestruck silence awaiting your first musings. Will John be taking Melanie Frontage up the oxo tower?

Jill says:

Been lonely and bored with out you. Looking forward to this Sunday. Any chance of you coming back in the mornings for a week or two, I’m getting Wogan withdrawel symptoms.

Ruthless says:

You’re back! Thank God. There is at last some order returned to the chaos. We missed you!

RevCounter says:

Unpopular comment coming…….we don’t like the audience, I want to decide when it’s funny rather than listening to mass hysteria reminiscent of some American sitcom. Sorry.

Gail Ashton says:

Well, well, well, you go part time and expect us all to just drop everything on a Sunday for you? Just as well your TOGs are loyal. Welcome back TOGmeister, I have missed you so much in my bed in the morning….
love from Annette Curtain XX

PeterO says:

@RevCounter: I think the audience laughter made it sound like a proper, old fashioned, live radio comedy show (like the Goon Show for example). Sir Tel is following in a grand tradition of radio light entertainment in that respect. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the video tomorrow morning.

Rev Counter says:

It’s certainly a very different format, and we know nothing stays the same for ever.

In the studio, we could labour under the delusion that Terry and Co were having a chat with us directly in that gentle, understated and undemanding way.

Now we have to share with loads of people and we can’t see what everyone is laughing at.
We felt at a distinct disadvantage – spectators not participants.

But we still enjoyed hearing him again and no doubt we’ll be back for more next week!

Lucy Quipment says:

The new show fair made my weekend!

More power to your elbow (and to the new knee!) Togmeister.

Sue Donim says:

The show was fantastic, well worth the wait… looking forward to the next few weeks. I must admit, at times, I had to remind myself that I wasn’t late for work, but that it really was Lazy Sunday.

Oldstew says:

It’s us TOGS/TYGS who laugh at ourselves publically, it’s the ongoing joke, it’s the undercurrent of shared memories, it’s TOGS gone ahead (Mrs McKay), it’s startled younger listeners who suddenly realise that they are TYGS, it’s the virtual family of Sir Tels that make being a TOG/TYG so special. Welcome Back everyone, I have missed you all. My morning drive to work is now only in black and white , not technicolor.

Dr Dynanmite says:

Fantastic. Loved the show our kids interupt quite a bit so really enjoyed watching on I-player. Me and Mrs Dynanmite have really missed Terry’s humour in the mornings and I was going to write and beg him to release a daily podcast to keep us sane. Now how can I get tickets???

Lizzie Dripping says:

Knew we hadn’t heard the last of you, thank goodness x

Honour Mission says:

So so glad you are back. Sunday is now the best day of the week.

Nicola says:

I am so very pleased you are back.! It was such a joy and comfort to listen to you on Sunday. Have missed you so very much in the mornings (and through Listen Again during the day) You are the one and only!

Ruth says:

really loved the show when we came on the 28th Feb. Looking forward to coming again but hope the BBC can afford more than one scanner if they are to persist in greater security than Heathrow standing in the pouring rain for 11/2 hours not so funny.
