On stage, our resident strolling players, Elio Pace with singers and a band to put Henry Hall and Billy Cotton in the shade. On stage too, the cream of the crop of Radio Two’s music stars will sing and play to make your meat and two veg slip down the old red lane even more sweetly.
Guests from stage and screen will engage you with airy banter, John Marsh will pause in his endeavours to exit Bournemouth marina, to read the news and wheeze painfully through the continuing tales of Janet and John.
All topped off with the inspired lunacy of my listeners letters, without which I would be as the proverbial empty vessel.
And then there’ll be the studio audience trying to clamber over the razor-wire… Security say that they’ll never get past the guard dogs… They don’t know TOGS….
